I think CE has a pretty fair price. If it was half a cent per 1k CE, you'd get 20k CE in a dollar. That's a lot. Game would turn even more pay to win except everybody would pay to win and the market would mess up hard and the game would be unplayable without paying.

If you want to upgrade your gear/go on extended runs, you WILL have to buy CE at some point--the difference to many other MMOs being that you can purchase the CE for crowns from the market rather than buying the CE directly from OOO with real money (which seems to be what you're addressing).

More on topic, however, I agree with Krabob: going to a higher pay standard for the ratio of CE/real money would totally destroy the market and shift the game to be openly pay-to-win. As for the market: think of how the cost of desirable items and mats relative to crowns would skyrocket as the crowns would be almost worthless. As for the pay-to-win problem: who in their right mind would actually bother grinding to level up their gear when you could have a fully outfitted 5* knight for a few dollars? Sorry, it just wouldn't work.

They should keep us in game,

They should keep us in game, that's why they can't make cheap CE. Now you need few months to get full 5* set and it's fair enough. With cheap CE you can make it for 1 minute and $1. FTP players will be available to buy cheap CE and get 5* in two days.

You know why it's called micro transactions?

because you are paying for what you want, smaller-ish specific payments (comparatively) that give you specific things, not a blanket payment like a WOW subscription which was the MMO industry standard.
