I tried logging in to my steam spiral knights account but instead of logging in I got an alert that said "we experienced a problem authenticating with steam. please insure that your steam client is running and that you are not logged in elsewhere". what does this mean and what do I do?

I tried multiple times and still no dice and I am not logged in to anything else. But thanks for the suggestion. :)
