If the Gremlins created the Clockworks, why would they create a depth dedicated towards the knights for all their hard work of killing the Gremlins and other Monster Families?
On a side note, 70% of the treasure in Treasure Vault is behind an energy gate, which is a bit of a con because we earned that! :/

Jeez man, it's like 3 energy to pop open a gate. Everyone's getting more stubborn these days. If you have crowns, then buy energy with it. It's not complicated, and this system has been around since the game was out, probably even during beta years.

gremlins didn't build the clockworks. they are workers. maintence. and they still wait their payment, that's why they are so pissed off they attack anyone in sight.
