I was one of the people who never got the chance to do the Black Kat event and I would like it to come back. With the new difficulty option and sprites should make the event and grinding for them a lot more fun.

As stated in that patch note, the event started on the 30th of January, and ended on February 13, so that might be the date when it returns. But since we haven't gotten a date from them, the event could happen sooner, or later.

If it doesn't happen within next 2 weeks, we probably won't see it unitl next year.
There's dark harvest and winterfest comming and it would be silly to overlap so many event together instead of spreading them.
But it's OOO, anything could happen.

It'll probably happen in October, maybe the couple of weeks before Dark harvest (?), or they might even overlap.

Don't see how it was that bad. Sure, BKC is OP but with the next occurrence, everybody in T3 who really wants one will be able to get one. Regardless, if you can't get BKC, some might argue that Chaos is better. It's roughly as good, in my opinion. They have different uses.

pretty sure that the first time this event rolled around, they said that the event would likely return another time or two throughout the year. we're at the six month mark now. unless they run it in the next month, then, like others have said, it's unlikely this event will return before the new year.
they prolly didn't bring it back because of the changes they were making to the game. with no energy cost limiting players runs through the clockworks, folks could spam the hell out of those kat floors and get those items in greater quantity than the first time around. they prolly need to rethink how the event will work (no energy cost and the forge) before we see it again. might not even show up 'til after jan-feb when it first ran.

how they should do it and we all know it.
the BK event should just be permanent. Make them spawn regularly in variations of candle stick keeps and special arena style levels in clock work undead levels. This way people don't feel like they need to grind terrible missions and can get them as the play, not as the grind. Grind is what keeps spiral knights (if you are playing for fun, not crowns.) from being like most MMOs.
