I've been gone from this game for about 2 years now (I played CBT), and a little birdy just told me that the elevators no longer charge energy (2 years of waiting for this to happen really XD).

So... what'd I miss? :)

Well.

They gave out a free 5* shield and sword depending on your rank. Oh, wait. You don't know what a rank is... or the mission system...

just read release notes

Just read the release notes on the wiki or in the Announcements forum. The release notes will give you a detailed, thorough, reliable account of changes, whereas a forum thread will not. Also, because we don't know exactly how long you've been gone, we can't tell you exactly what you've missed. But, by reading the release notes, you can easily figure it out yourself. Also, by reading the release notes, you save us from typing the same huge summary for every old player who returns and starts a thread like this.

Enjoy the game.

Why do people make these threads when they've been gone for YEARS!?

You might has well never have played before. There's practically more new content than old.

Shard bombs and the UI got mangled. Gear somehow got even more unbalanced than it previously was.

Stun was fixed, and there is PvP now.

Also new Monsters

There's Feinds - Gorgo's

Mini Monsters

Dust Bunny - Beast Family
Glop Drop - Jelly Family
Scarab - Undead Family

Also new levels, called Compounds, where you will find these Mini Monsters.

Now you say you've been gone for 2 years, and I don't know if you would have had Shadow Lairs back then, I honestly cannot remember. If they didn't have them, they're basically remakes of all the bosses but harder (T3) where at the end of all of them there's a Sanctuary Alchemy Machine where you can create Unique Gear.

This was mentioned earlier, but there were Missions. Which included something called Battle Sprites, which are little AI's which assist you in the clockworks. There are currently 3 types, you can pick one. It may be quite confusing at first to fully understand everything about them, but if I were you I'd make new accounts (no energy now) and test out all these sprites and then choose which one you wanna go with on your real account.

Last thing I'll say is that we now have Difficulties. Normal, Advanced, and Elite (Hardest), the harder the difficulty, the higher the payout in Crowns.
