We need to stop saying "CE". In 3 years nobody will even know what the heck that is.
We need to start saying "ergy" or "e" or "energy". Why, cuz i dunno it's annoying to see ppl saying wtb ce. I dont know what the heck that is anymore

Firestorm Citadel is the official name of the set of levels, "King of Ashes" is the corresponding mission.

Like when we talk about the Tortodrone (which I have seen) and the giant green jelly thing ( which I haven't) and the Kattywampus (???). And noobs say "who is Vanaduke" and "The core hasn't always been open".

Ugh... why can't people realize
Energy and crystal energy(CE) are the SAME DAMN THING!!! Have you ever read the CE description? The July 30th patch notes?
They have the same properties, thus the terms are synonymous. The removal of the "C" from CE was because there was no need to differentiate between two types of energy, crystal and mist. CE is still technically correct, new players can say "energy" and it will be understood, while the vets will say CE and knights will (hopefully) still be around who know what they mean. And besides, no one really sells CE on the streets or in trade chat anymore .

If there's no need to differentiate between the two and the only reason it was/is called ce was to do so... I don't follow. But also I think it ME and CE merged into just E, if that makes sense. And OOO no longer calls it CE, so "technically" it is incorrect. No matter how many ppl call something the wrong name, its still the wrong name.

You probably don't have to fret too much. As the population of Spiral Knights slowly fills with players from after this patch who are saying "energy", it'll grow on us and become a habit. Eventually we'll all be using E instead of CE.
Arkus has a crystal on his back that controls him and emitts energy :O
