First discussion, so I don't see this going very well... but...

Orbs. A nice add-on to the game patch.
While nice, this comes with a price...
I've come to notice that Simple + Advanced orbs are much rarer than Eternal orbs and Elite orbs combined, with simple found in Stratums 1-2, Tier 1 and Advanced found in Stratums 3-4, Tier 2. Both higher chances of obtaining on Elite.

Question is, what affects the drop rate? Luck? Rank? I've used to obtain many as a Defender Elite in the first week, but all that's gone downhill, and I end up having to purchase them from the Supply Depot.
Does your rank affect the drop rate of certain orbs, or is it purposely made to the point so that as a high rank, lower star orbs are no longer available / have highly decreased drop rates, forcing you to use crowns to get some from the Supply Depot?
