It's fun to use solo. Much less so in a party because you have to plant it a couple of seconds in advance of where enemies will be, and teammates grabbing aggro and leading enemies around messes with that.

I never laid hands on a BAB as a bomber but after seeing a guildmate using it, it is one of the top 5 things I want to get before I get bored of the game.

BAB=Maximum Satisfaction
I got a BAB first instead of Nitro and I have to say, Im really happy with my decision. As long as its not friend stratum, its a lot of fun to use in PvE.
In PvP, its even better.

I had the best experience with BAB in Lockdown.
It was downtown. I was waltzing around a capture point, scouting for enemies. Just for the heck of it, I planted a BAB at the capture point and went north a bit.
It exploded. I saw pips of health shower from the BAB. When I went back to the CP to look for the enemy I'd just hit, I saw nothing.
The BAB had knocked an unsuspecting recon so far away you couldn't even see him anymore despite his cloak being broken. It was beautiful.

Hm...
I'm thinking about getting the BAB, but after the video demo to be honest I'm quite unsure if I should get it over Nitronome. I have no other blast bombs excepting my vanilla Master Blast Bomb and another 2* Blast bomb (with damage vs. Slime VH), as well as having all the components needed for a Mad Bomber helm too (but no mask). Do you guys recommend getting the BAB first, or should I make another?

BAB can be pretty powerful, but usually only when you're at the point where you can overkill anything with anything anyway.
For your first blast bomb, I'd definitely go for Nitronome.
Hell, for your first weapon, I'd say go for Nitronome.

I haven't really used it a lot. people who hate nitronome REALLY hate BAB, and it's kinda slow for my tastes.
