I propose we rename all of the subfora to 'newbies complaining about stuff they don't have'
Because that's what it has turned in to..

I don't have a BKC, make it more accessible
Remove UV's, I don't have them
Accessories are overpriced
Make a new weapon line, that is so OP I'll finally be able to defeat everything in one hit

Have fun.
Grind for what you want.
Focus more on personal skill and less on gear.

"An armor piece that has stats that effect the game is only accessible by pure chance and can only be obtained for 1-2 weeks for 1 event"
" Stop complaining, newbie "

Stop.

@LIan

I bet that if you had the BKC you wouldn't want to make it more accessible like a common item.

How accessible it is doesn't

How accessible it is doesn't even matter.
We all start out with the same chance of getting one.
The only question that matters is: how much do you want it?

Do you want it enough to..

Grind a whole week for it?
Pay someone who has one for it?
Pay OOO to be able to pay someone for it?

I'm just not alright with all these threads making it seem as if people are entitled to anything.
You're entitled to NOTHING except that which was given to you.
All the rest is there to earn and should not be taken for granted.

I hope the irony of making a thread to cry and whine, about other people crying and whining, isn't lost on you.

I bet that if you had the BKC you wouldn't want to make it more accessible like a common item.

I, and numerous other people I know who own BKCs, all believe it should be more accessible. That doesn't mean it has to be as easy to attain as other pieces of 5* gear, but there's an incredibly large middle ground between 'common' and 'ridiculously rare to an extent that most people will never get one'.

Yo dude.

Why are you out here complaining about and insulting those who are new to the game? Don't you want people here? Do you want to play alone? Do you really believe Sega and OOO would continue to work so hard and pay the expenses to keep this site up and running just for you?

Now let's look at this from a very logical perspective. One you might understand. You're noob too. I've had to endure your questions, lack of knowledge, your noobishness. You will always be a noob to me. And noobs are always complaining about stuff including each other.

Stop publicly attacking and insulting our future friends. Doing so doesn't make you better at your game or important in the community.

@Echoez: Yeah I've done one

@Echoez:
Yeah I've done one of these before and it was fun.
You want it to be more like say.. Shadow lair rarity? What is wrong with something being rare at that?

@Iamnoone: 'yo dude yourself.'

Read the second post I wrote to have your question answered.
I love how you assume lots of things about me. Maybe we can be friends too :s

If it makes you feel better I can change the word newbies to people and the thread would still be the same.

What is wrong with something

What is wrong with something being rare at that?

Partially because it's an exceptionally powerful piece of gear, partially on the principle that you shouldn't make items that have actual impact on gameplay balance severly hard to attain*. I've often been an advocate of adding more extremely rare drops like Darkfang, provided they were either costume or reskins and nothing that effects balance.
*I will admit, Operation Crimson Hammer is far, far bigger offender for this than the BKC, but I think by this point it's clear Three Rings are never going to fix OCH

As for where I'd put the BKC rarity, that's hard to say without knowing what the current drop rate actually is, in order to estimate how much of an increase would have what effect. Even a slight buff in the drop rate could have a profound effect, actual hard statistics both on how rare it is and also what the current distribution of BKCs is. In my experience most if not nearly everyone that has one is either rich themselves, knows people that are, or just has an exceptionally large network of people to connect to and hunt with, and the result is the whole thing feel more like a circlejerk over who can get better odds rather than anything to do with 'effort or gridning'. Bear in mind hypothetically you could grind forever, never find a book, and even if you grinded up 20-30k energy, you'd still need to find a seller from the limited number of owners in existance.

Honestly if you took the 'luck' out of it and made it a tangible goal, even if still hard to reach, that would be enough. Make books craftable out a really large amount of pages (Anywhere between 500-1500 would probably work) and boom, the bkc still remains a rare item (Certainly rarer than any other 5* piece of gear) but with the luck element removed you can say with 100% that you can work towards it over several kataclysms.

On an unrelated note, OOO said they actually can't change how OCH is distributed. Something about some legal bullcrap behind the scenes.

PS: If you read throughout the whole previous text, you deserve an AA-Medallion for your bravery, courageous actions you did to pass through the hardships of reading it.

PS2: You absolutely have no right to brag about having that medallion, or the mafia will hunt you down.

PS3: This post is basically offtopic, but nobody should care.

PS4: This is coming in November, everyone should buy it.

PS5: The previous PS wasn't an advertisement.

PS6: I should stop now.

Feyi, you deserve an on-topic post:

I am included in the "people", because for real, finding these kats was a Katastrophe (Badum tshh) for lots of people where others found like kat on each depth. It's RNG, yeah, but c'mon, screw that. And as I said, if RNG was a man, I'd murder him. (Yeah, that RNG gave me book, but it's still not fair.)

BKC, the proposal.

In place of rng determining everything... Could we have it to where we could craft bkc out of all three Kat cowls?

Only craftable on the final day of the katastrophe? Allows players the chance to say the earned theirs rather than a complete luck of the draw spiel.

If bkc were like darkfang, I would not mind the rarity, darkfang won't go busting anything in sight, bkc can, will, and has practically broken game play in many ways. Only reason this isn't worse than the chaos buff is that rng is blocking it...

And really, RNG should not be the major (read:largest and essentially the only) hurdle to cross for high power equipment, skill and patience deserve a say, not impossible odds.
