Go to the URL in Krns' post. They have detailed, reliable data. The data haven't been updated yet for the difficulty levels, but they're probably a very good starting point.

Need heat?
Why not try the Gauntlet? It's like an arena, but instead of spikes, you get status traps, and get to face all the enemy types on that mission.

Why are people in such a rush to get heat? You need mats and orbs and fire crystals anyway, it doesn't really matter where you play, why grind the same exact spot over and over?

I agree that people who don't enjoy mindless grinding shouldn't be grinding mindlessly. That's the beauty of the Lancer Knightz mission data. They show you that you don't have to grind FSC and RJP over and over again (even if you're money-hungry). There are many missions with high payouts. For example, even when CE was at 9,000, there were 14 missions that were profitable relative to that price.
Dunno if it's true, but I've heard that Legions of Ur gives pretty nice payout.
