After I finished the campaign once and left the story untouched for a while, I feel as if I have lost a grip on the story and purpose of being in cradle.

So, because I was able to better assess the importance of my missions while going through the process as needed, I think I will start a new knight to do it all over again. Moreover, I wanted to get an understanding of where these numerous complaints were coming from, at a different perspective other than that of a Vanguard. And since I wanted to do some sort of fan fiction in regards to the game, I'd like a better grasp on the story (repeating myself? o_O).

Because I have nothing more to accomplish that is truly time consuming, would starting another campaign in the midst of mist's disappearance and the inclusion of the battle sprites be a waste of time? I do not need the perks of the weapons I have now to play effectively and starting everything on elite seems to be a good idea in addition.

Let me know if I should stop talking nonsense and get back into cradle as the way I am.

Just use your main character and challenge yourself using something like full proto / cobalt 2* at the same time. Alt would be mostly a waste of time at this moment. You can also heat random gear/battle sprite while in the process.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

Well, it depends what you're driving at.

If you REALLY want to start from the bottom up, then go for it. It's a bit different when you keep yourself from using good gear and when you flat out CAN'T. Go ask my alt.

That's just creating an endurance test, really. Besides, just because it's challenging doesn't make it fun. Besides, it's not the same overcoming a self-imposed challenge versus overcoming a legitimate challenge that you were previously struggling with.

The only part in restarting is when you reach the "you need this equipment to pass" missions. Other than that, it's alright.

Just maybe...

@Poopsie: I do that occasionally. Since I have done enough of those alone when I have the time, doing such challenges does not always appeal to others in groups; it gets a bit boring at times when I am the only one who has accomplished something.

@Autofire: I agree with the matter of restrictions vs inability to triumph over something familiar. Plus, while I would assume that the process of advancement and experimentation is more difficult, I cannot be confident in my assumption with only an overhead view of the matter. So I may just do that.

@Shidara: Whereas I would argue about the "challenge =/= fun", I cannot because the matter is relative and I know some matters of endurance can be frustrating. I have a friend who has completed some Shadow Lair levels (with or without others, I know not) and he says they can be draining. I also know some who say that they have done vana in full proto (quite possibly sword as well). Of the two mentions, Shadow Lair always sounds tempting until I consider the cost (another matter) and that proto run can take more time than I have on my hands.

@Traevelliath: I hope that I can sort of get over that part with two trains of thought (on different tracks of course). Do everything on elite, even if it kills me; chances are I may pick up enough orbs and sparks to continue on, only leaving forging to be my main obstacle. Stick to one line of weaponry and/or armor to allow the pace of my advancing to run as smoothly as possible. It seems that some knights and knight elites are, with reason, about getting that T3 clearance which lets them into more difficult-but-profitable areas. I was there once.

One thing I considered doing before hand was not play for a month or three to lose sight of what has happened in SK and to lose the feel for the controls to a degree.
