So OOO said they are adding a sandbox feature into the game meaning that it is all open-world. Isn't this gonna take forever? I would link it but I don't know how to or how to do it with highlighted normal words.

My opinion:
They are removing the arcade and give you a menu with acces to any level in a sort of "build-your-own-adventure" sandbox.

I was thinking more like a large map randomly generated per each gate. So it's like go NE to find a Beast Strata, and then go SW to find a Shock Strata, etc.
But that's just speculation on my part.

I do not think a big open world. That's stupid.
I think of infinite possibilities. Just like a sand box, we are giving varies tool and put in an environment. Then imagination happens.

Well, what I'm guessing is that there will be like now, but with 10+ levels per depth and no stratus. Instead, for each level, each player may donate a few minerals which will limit the possibilities chosen by RNG.
The announcement didn't say it would be a sandbox, it said they want it to be a 'sandbox-type experience.' I would say the chances of the arcade becoming either an open world, or a traditional sandbox, are very, very low. We'll just have to wait and see as they phase in the changes.
