Well I made this topic because I think the skelly alchemy line deserves more credit.I say this because everyone says it sucks on shadow lairs and FSC, but I think its great for all those things. And also say that freeze and poison are useless,well their not,from experience there are a lot of monsters that deal shadow damage. How many times have you wished you had some good shadow armor. I use skelly line because I like it,very useful. And and everyone says snarbolax set is best because of sword damage bonus, its just like wow. So I want you to post if you use skelly line or write about how useful it is.

PS.I know I sound stupid a little but it deserves more credit,also if you don't have anything nice to say,don't say it unless its funny.

Defense is general needs more appreciation, not just Skelly.

While yes, SK is more focused on offense rather than defense and you theoretically don't need it... It's still nice to have!

I'd only use my future Dread

I'd only use my future Dread Skelly Set in freeze levels, and against Undeads. Future Valkyrie set for Poison and Fiends (poison fiends), DS for fire, Etc.

In the current winter wonderland that is the arcade, Skelly Shield at least is a pretty good thing to have.

The only part of the set worth having these days is, as Zeddy said, the shield. The helm is easily outclasses by BKC and the armor by Snarbolax, having the same status defenses excluding Kat's poison weakness... But yeah, it's poison. Poison is harmless to us in most cases.

You know what?

I'm thinking of getting an armor set the protects against shadow damage. And the Skelly set has crossed my mind. As Zeddy said, the arcade is having a cold, and the skelly set is resistant against freeze and poison. Also, the winterfest event has fiends that are of the freeze type. There are also Kleptolisk, but they aren't that hard to handle. But I'm still looking at other sets before I make my final decision.

Well, the scelly is good nowadays because of the winder wonderland raining acid, but as stated above it is more of the cheap option, if you want a serious loadout, it is easily outclassed by snarby, but I don't think it will be that easy to get the BCK, so keep the helm, if you have one it will come in handy with the arcade.

.

Skelly is poor man's shadow defense. In theory, that would mean it's more efficient, but other sets can easily outclass it. Valkyrie for Fiends, Divine for split elemental/shadow, Fallen for global ASI, Shadowsun for gun slingers, and the most popular choice would be Snarbolax, for your average dark'n'edgy swordsman.

The shield is nice

Usually, the dangerous statuses are ones that deal direct damage, such as shock and fire. What Skelly brings to the table in terms of resistance aren't really all that dangerous given what you should be fighting (fiends and undead). Frozen fiends can prove a problem, but other than that the only real danger in a frozen stage are silversaps, but they deal elemental damage.

@whim
Don't forget the silvermail and it's undead bonus!
