You have probably noticed these random highlighted words in posts now that when you scroll over lead you to a random, pointless search. I find these quite annoying especially since these block your view of the post. Words like these all bring up this stupid search of the word:
start

completed

vacuum

excel

degree

These are just five examples I found off of some threads although they sometimes appear all over. I did not recall this happening before. If this is a browser-side thing please tell me because this is literally the first time I'm seeing this on the forums.

Your browser must have some rogue ad extension.

You are experiencing a VIRUS ERROR!

This is browser side, or more, client side. You're computer either has spyware or a virus. I recommend you get a scanner ASAP and fix the problem. I got a similar issue once, and I'm certain that it's malware. Do you see this on other sites? Is this the most commonly viewed site on that computer or log in? For me it only appeared on sites which I regularly visited...which was darn annoying.

Oh no! A VIRUS ERROR?

God dangit. I don't recall installing anything suspicous...but I did find some random chrome extension that seemed to fix it. Will do a virus scan because it was probably some program that installs another program and asks if you wan't to install another, yeah, those annoying ones. Thanks.

Edit: Reason I thought it was the forums because I've seen these annoying things before, but only on certain websites so I was under the assumption it was a website thing.

Sometimes it's not really a virus but crapware attached to other legit programs.

You install a music player and for not reading an extra checkbox, you also end up installing babylon or ask toolbar as a "bundled promotion" as they call it :P

Look in your browser's extensions for something with a suspiciously generic name like 'Web Assistant' and remove it. Last time I noticed something like that on someone's computer, that was the cause.

i start to play games so that once i have completed them, i feel a sense of accomplishment...and not feeling like my life has been sucked into a bottomless vacuum. i find that many people excel at games, depending on the degree of difficulty in the games they choose to play.

i have no idea what this thread is about...but hey dude...probably check your pc for adware, malware or add-ons in your browser. xD
