So after getting mauled by T3 ice jellies, I came up with this.

A new style of bomb, obtainable with 20 bark modules to start at 3*.

Basically, it would have the charge time and radius of irontech destroyer. But when it detonates, jelly spikes (like those from T3 jellies) randomly appear over a period of 3 seconda in the radius of the bomb. It would basically be like a spikepit bomb, but with spikes randomly appearing and disappearing (better yet, make the spikes like those in GiTM boss).

Bomb is like this at 5*, with baby versions at 4 and 3*, acquirable with bark mods. Spikes and radius increase in size as level up. Damage would be: Probably 120 neutral e28 dmg per spike.

Piercing damage, based on jellies, but tradeable with bark mods?

Wouldn't it make sense it they were jelly gems?

Better yet, lets make it like

Better yet, lets make it like the GV and just have the recipes only found from basil from start to finish.

If the bomb detonates spikes

If the bomb detonates spikes then wouldn't that mean there is a rather large chance the spikes will miss? Perhaps you mean it would have smart logic and spikes would pop out at enemies within it's radius? Unless of course the animation is purely visual in which case it would really be no different from the DBB.

PS This bomb should look like a wobbly little pink jelly with a fuse. Sooo cute....

Instead of the spikes being random, why not make it like the "Thorn Roots" attack of the Giant Lichen Colony?
I think that would fit pretty good~
