You hit the party button and slimes spawn on the other side? Unless this is a bug? Are those slimes were the ones that spawn if you pressed that small button?

Could be the small button, but there are also occassions where 4 enemies spawn around you after pressing a party button.
Idk wich spawn failed.

I'm assuming the slimes were supposed to spawn when you stepped on the button behind their gate.

It is likely a bug caused by a newly implemented energy gate module and the developers haven't programmed the level direction detection correctly.
looks like one of dem strange pointless energy gates XD
