It's just a simple nit-pick but I have NOT found a single armor set that actually looks good with Tails Tails besides maybe the Wolver Coat. This is just my opinion though, but if you have an armor set that you think looks good with it, show me a screenshot. Just interested to see if anyone can change my mind.

I have looked but so far, they kind of seem silly and out-of-place.

Radiant Silvermail might also work (hadn't thought of that.)
Perhaps certain proto or costume armors would fit the ticket? I can't say I know which ones because I'm still stuck with one of the three original proto armors, and have a measly two costume helmets.
It might not be a bad idea to look over that fashion appreciation thread to see if anyone has used a tails-tails there.
