Something's horribly wrong!

I get this weird, forceful holding-back feeling after I do a FSC run, then if I try to do another I'm like "Eh who cares I'll do it later" then I find myself logging off and doing something else (i.e TF2 gmod videos, playing TF2, etc) and it feels like I'm staying on line less and less the more I get on!

I want to play and build up my inventory, but I just can't due to this feeling!

PLEASE! I WANT TO KEEP PLAYING AND GRINDING AND EXPAND MY INVENTORY! WHAT IS THIS FEELING!? I WANT IT TO GO AWAY FOREVER! I HATE IT! I DON'T LIKE IT! Waaaaaaaaah!!!! T_T

Congratulations! You've learned to hate FSC!

Why don't you join people in the arcade? You get a larger variety of levels and you can make a decent profit off of recipes. Now that elevators are free, you can even make comparable money via a full tier 2 run and merching rare recipes from Basil.

This not only applies to FSC, but to EVERYTHING in SK that has ever existed, is currently existing, and will exist.

Take a break then? Pick up a different game?

If you want to keep playing a game, I usually can get myself back into the game if I can find a good 2*-ish player to take under my wing. Last time I joined a tier 1 to tier 2 guild and basically followed the guild as it grew from about 10 people to around 80, chipping in whenever they wanted to improve the guildhall (It's amazing how much more amazing a simple set of tables with matching chairs becomes when you put your own blood and sweat into it).

A returning friend of mine mysteriously got his old knight deleted due to unknown reasons and he's almost to the Jelly King again as I've been carrying him through the missions on Elite mode. I COULD go back to Super Mario World or other old games and play through them again or find trippy things to do in them. But yet again, the lack of relentless progress i've been making in SK (just forged a Wise Owlite shield to 10 and scraping up crowns to get the GoS recipe) might come back to haunt me.

Do you only do runs with your friends? I find that much more enjoyable.

Bored?

You are not the only one. I play every now and then, but arent all MMORPG's (massivly multiplayer online role playing game) about the term grinding? (Repeating over and over again)

If you want recommendations for other games to play then here they are:

  1. Osu!
  2. Awesomenauts
  3. Gun monkeys
  4. portal 1 and 2
  5. Elsword (another MMO)

Elsword is free on steam but everything else costs money (go out and and ask your local game store if they sell steam gift cards)

Osu! is not on steam (just added it to steam by clicking add non steam game)

Same here. If you have a Youtube, you could do a LP of another game.

Seriously...

Take. A. Darn. Break.

If you keep stressing yourself out over this, it's only going to magnify further. Plenty of people have done it. Just stop thinking that you're betraying someone for taking a much needed break, they should understand if they're anyone you're even remotely close to.

So just take a break, and come back later.

I second what Shidara said

Despite being Guild Master of a sizable guild, I took a 40-day break (Christian fasting symbolism). I'm enjoying the game more than ever now. A few other things that help keep it interesting are:

- being active in the forums
- mentoring newer players, which helps me re-experience the excitement of newbie milestones, re-do mission with a purpose, experience the unique plesure and satisfaction that helping someone else provides, and showing off a bit, too, is part of the fun.
- produce art or fiction or contribute to the Treasure Vault in some way

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

I've been taking breaks on and off rather than forcing myself to play. This I find much more enjoyable. There is no way other than a break to get yourself back into the game.

A most peculiar case

I hope this isn't the schadenfreude talking, but I find this quite hilarious. No one should be forced to play a video game, dahaha..

You can always make a quitting post, that should give you some of that sweet, sweet attention and at the same time love from your in-game friends.

If this is a serious problem for you, however, I highly suggest seeing a shrink at your local clinic. You should have no problem unless, you're like 10. And then your parents can take you for counseling..

PROFESSIONAL HELP

@Shidara

Except ever since the end of Summer, my guild has been super in active, and I'd like to get it done before [insert gender here] gets back on

@Chromosver

Except if I do make a quitting post, I might feel kind of bad and considering the forum community, it might be half empathy or half "CAN I HAZ UR STUFF?!!?", only for when I come back, would make it sound like a total lie. Unless you're talking about making a "I'm gonna stop for a while and come back" post, then that's a different thing.

BTW: I have a strong will and love for SK. I'm 16 and there's no local psychiatrists where I live.

BTWW: I also have a reputation for over-thinking things before they happen, much like my first statement to you.

Don't make a quitting thread. If you have to say good-bye, MAIL your closer friends/guildmates.
You took the psychiatrist thing seriously? lol.
You don't need to 'quit'. Just don't force yourself to play. If you feel like playing, then sure, go ahead.
If you don't, then well, don't.

Take a break =/= Quit the

Take a break =/= Quit the game

Get that out of your head. You're saying you're not enjoying the game like you used to, so take a break. Quit making excuses not to, because in the long run all it is gonna do is cause more harm. And don't make a flippin' quitting post. It serves no purpose but to attract trolls and stir up drama. Farewells are best done in private anyhow, but I digress.

Just take a break, the world isn't gonna end if you take a couple weeks off. Use that strong will of yours and stop playing for a while and come back when you feel better.
