Steam login password glitch. [HELP!]

I have a steam account and lately spiral knights has been crashing. so i downloaded it form the website and deleted the steam version. i can log onto the website but when i try to log in on spiral knights it says my password is wrong. so i try to reset my password but for the forgot your password thing it says no colons. but steam account usernames are [steam:############]. HELP!
(see? colon. how is this possible!)
My friends are just starting to play and i want to help them.

Sorry, but if you registered through steam to play, you have to use the steam version to play.

Then I need to know what kind of crash is it. Did it launch, but gave a black screen and stop responding? Or did it not launch at all? Please provide more details.

Ok this is it. 1. i start it

Ok this is it.
1. i start it up
2. the login screen/ knight select comes on
3. 3 seconds later it automatically closes out

I can't identify the problem. Mainly the suspicion lies in your processor, try updating your video drivers, and contact technical support of SK.
