Is it me, or does the Drakon's Meteoric Firebolt Ultimate disrupt monsters more?

A week or two ago, my Drakon Lucerne earned his (her? its?) first ultimate skill and got the Meteoric Firebolt. When I took xem to missions and such, I noticed that the Grinchlins would be knocked down by the Firebolt sometimes if it was a direct hit, and it even made a gun puppy shut up.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is the Firebolt actually better at disrupting enemies?

Disruption is basically the entire point of Firebolt, yes.
