Who here spent all of their resources on some fancy armor like the jelly costume, then couldn't get passed the knight rank because of money shortage?

I think the way around this grinding point is to rely on some other currency like token trading, or try selling some of the items you don't need.
Investing in energy is also a good idea when it comes to unbinding items or buying sparks.

Jelly set is underpowered.
In the words of admiral ackbar, it's a trap. It sets you up for regrinding for a replacement of it soon after.
This is an MMO.
MMO's require grinding.
Knight rank is the point where the player (you) begins to grind.
Everyone hits this wall, whether they decided to get fancy armour or not. Unless they decide to pay with IRL money of course...
As a side note, my first armour set was Wolver...
