This weird bug that's existed for at least 10 months no one ever fixed.

The bug starts when I exit a menu, no macros or scripts involved. In the first case, I think I wasn't doing the menu thing, but the second time I was stuck repeating the menu animation over and over again without doing anything. I couldn't stop it, then when I started recording the video I did /wave and it stopped, but I was still stuck.

My friend had the exact same issue happening to him. When I came to look at him why he's staying behind I at times saw him spamming an animation that made him unable to move or do anything at all. It's a very strange bug but you're not the only one who has it happen to, I'm glad you reported this since now I can confirm he wasn't the only one who had it.
Please explain how the bug starts.
I see you doing the animation for bringing up a menu but no menu opens, so I assume you are closing it immediately (perhaps by macroing a button, since a press-hold doesnt work for spam opening) followed by an emote. [Note, this observation is most likely the animation repeating as a result of the bug - this is not an accusation.]
If it involves macroing or scripts, it is not particularly a bug that is important because the use of macros/scripts is against the ToS.
