Part One: A New Life
Introduction: From the Dark
She had just awoken, but to what? She could not see, she could not hear, she could not breathe, but still she was fine. As she was she was nothing, in a pocket of nothing, separated from any known world. Her thoughts were ragged and undefined, but this was the first time she has had them. They were thoughts as complete as the situation allowed. She knew nothing of language but still words flowed into her head to reflect her new thoughts. She did not know what to make of this. There were many gaps but this all seemed pretty miraculous to her. She wondered what she was. How had she come from nothing? She felt the place she had awoken was devoid of everything. She could not believe there was nothing though. The thoughts she has had suggest there are other things, that she was one of those things. She was sure her existence had started here, but how was she to get out? Where was this? She felt like she knew nothing.
It felt like a few days (something that had no meaning here other than the passage of time) had passed since she became aware. Nothing about the world had changed, still as empty as ever, but she was different. She knew that she could not force herself to escape this place, if that was going to happen it would be of no result of her action (as limited as they were). She felt something she could not truly conceive, a lonely feeling. There had never been anything else so the feeling was diminished but she was aware that there were things that she was without. She now spent time thinking and trying to make herself grow, but the more she grew the worse she felt. This was no place to live a life. She felt eager to find something that was more than this. The thought that all she could do was wait saddened her.
As more time passed she started feeling frightened. If someone was going to find her or something happen the more time had passed the closer it would be to happening, but what if nothing did? What if she was something forgotten or without a purpose in the first place? What if this was going to be her life, what if there was no silver lining and she was to slowly grow senile waiting for something that would never come. At this point she did not care what happened, just that something happened in this stagnant world. That’s when it happened.
At first it shocked her, she had no idea what it was or what it was saying but the sound it made felt like it was warming her being. It felt like a great weight was being taken off her shoulders. She felt like crying. “H.l..? Hello?” the voice was finally starting to make sense to her. “You can hear me? Good, there is no need to feel alone now. Soon you will leave this place, but there are things you need to know first. My role is to tell you the story of our people. It won’t be short but it is something you will need to know before you enter our world.” If she could leave this place she did not mind waiting a little bit longer, what mattered was she was not alone anymore.
At least it's a start. For people coming from the old thread, yes this is a lot different. I figured out the story better and i decided to have some story actually on the ship that is not just tragedy happened. It's a different start but it is still the base structure. As the story progresses more will be reveled. That being said i still do not have the knights history worked out yet so expect a break again(a lot shorter i hope). I typed this section in one night but i had written this part about 5? times that i did not like, this has a lot of the same concepts that helped piece it together. Hope you like it.
