The Cold Recon

“Quit it Jcml,” Altas whispered.
“We don’t want to be discovered.” He continued.
“Oh fine, I just wanted the Irontech Destroyer.” I said.
We moved along a long piece of Concrete crouching beside it. “See those?” Altas said.
“Yeah!” I exclaimed.
“Layoafers, they will throw Snowballs at you if they see you.” He continued. “Wouldn’t they just, like, bounce off?” I questioned.
“No. They put explosives in the Snowballs so they look harmless. Big mistakes that we make.” He answered.
We crept around a big Lamp Post and I attacked with my Arc Razor, and as soon as I came into sight they started attacking, I dodged all of the snowballs and estimated quickly that there are 4 Layoafers. I jumped on one and killed it with my extremely sharp sword and moved on to all of the others. As soon as I killed all of them Altas came out clapping for me. “You didn’t even help!” I complained.
“Well at least you put on a good show.” He complimented.

We both looked up a huge wall the top was covered in Ice and huge Icicles hanging down from it, it was Concrete of course, everything here is made out a of Concrete. “That’s a big Wall.” I said.
“Welcome to Amu Sol, the Frozen Fortress.” He announced.
“How are we gonna get over this Wall?” I asked.
“Just watch.” Altas said as he threw a Rope over the Wall. There was a Hook at the end that dug into the Ice and held our weight. We climbed up the Rope and jumped down on the other side. “Here we are!” Altas exclaimed. We took a walk through a frozen Garden entered a big room with different kinds of Monsters cheering for our death. We were met with 5 Trojans and 6 Layoafers, the battle for life begun.

Quickly I took the Irontech Destroyers from Altas and placed 4 of them on the Stadium floor and set them off, there were explosions everywhere and just by myself I killed 3 Trojans and 2 Layoafers. Altas was battling a Tier 3 Trojan and tried to jump over it but the Trojan held his big mallet up and slammed him to the ground. Man that looks like it hurts. I thought to myself. “Altas take this!” I shouted as I threw a Health Capsule into his mouth, he swallowed it and got back up. 1 Layoafer threw a Snowball but it missed my Face and flew so close that I could have touched it with my Tongue. I took out my Final Flourish and stabbed it in the Eye and held it there as it died, sslloowwyy. I took out my MSI or Movment Speed Increase Trinket and put it on, then I killed the last 3 Layoafers so quickly they didn’t even see me. The last Trojan was running towards me but with my MSI there was no chance that it would win. I took out my Shivermist Buster and set it off, and the chill of the cloud froze the Trojan and then I came up to the back of the Trojan and charged up my sword and killed it. Altas ran towards the other Door and I followed him. “Come catch up, Cold Recon.” He said.
“MY NAME IS JCML!” I screamed.
“Shhh…” Altas whispered.
“Follow me.” He continued.

Me and him climbed a large Staircase and I tripped over a Stair but I luckly didn’t lose anything. When we got to the top of the Tower we saw a view of the whole Fortress. “Look, we have to get over there.” He said as he pointed to a large Courtyard surrounded by Ice. It was a great view with Snow slowly falling and knowing that nothing can get us while we are up here, I saw a big Horse made out of Ice looking thing, and I pointed at it and Altas told me that the big Horse wasn’t a horse at all and he also told me it’s name, Maulos, the boss of this Fortress and leader of the Snowclaw pack. “So we are going after him right?” I asked.
“Yes, we will take the road that is close to the Wall and leads to the Courtyard, and then we’ll attack.” He replied.

We went back down the Staircase and ran till we reached the Courtyard. Maulos turned around and saw us so we ran into a Building by the Courtyard. “You stupid little Knights you know that I’m way to big for you, maybe you killed Vanaduke but me, I’m a bigger worry.” Maulos yelled.
I got out my Blitz Needle and cracked a window open while Altas went out to fight him with me as the medic and support. Maulos missed Altas with his big Icy Hammer and Ice spread everywhere from it. I charged up my Blitz Needle and fired 8 long Bullets into him. He froze himself in Ice and Altas was hitting it with his Final Flourish, I turned on a Nitronome and threw it on his body, the whole place caught on fire and Maulos, and Altas were on fire too, but Altas used his Remedy Capsule and wasn’t on fire anymore. Me and Altas charged up our Weapons and hit Maulos together but it wasn’t enough to kill him, Maulos swung his big Icy Hammer and hit the Building I was in. I jumped out and got my Grim Repeater and fired at his eyes, he erupted in anger and swung at me but I dodged it and fired again, but at his legs. He fell to the ground on his face and both me and Altas got our Polarises out and fired, Maulos died, and a pack of Frostifurs jumped out of a building with Layoafers ridding them, went to Maulos as we fled the Fortress victorious. “We killed him.” I said.
“Lets get out of Amu Sol and into Haven as soon as possible.” Altas replied.

We ran to the nearest Wall but a bunch of Layoafers ambushed us. “Hurry!” I yelled.
There were Snowballs flying everywhere and I took out my 3 remaining Irontech Destroyers and blew up the whole Garden. All the Layoafers were killed and Altas threw another Rope on the Wall and we climbed up, we ran away from the Fortress and to the nearest Elevator to Haven. “C’mon we need to go before the Vog Cub comes.” Altas said.
“Vog? As in the big Wolf of Fire?” I asked.
“Yep. we don’t wanna run into him.” he replied.
When we reached the Elevator to Haven it was locked. “Why can’t we go up?” I questioned.
“Because there’s a T2 Trojan that followed us through depth 18!” Altas answered. I got my Argent Peacemaker and shot at it 3 times, but it blocked with it’s Shield, so then I ran up towards it and stabbed it’s Face with my Divine Avenger. The Elevator unlocked. “Hurry before anything else comes!” Altas screamed.
I ran to the Elevator and went back up to Haven.

“Welcome back!” Zero said.
“Hey! I'm alive still!” I replied.
“What a nice thing, coming back to Haven after killing Maulos without any deaths.” I continued.
“Come on we have to meet Lt. Feron for your new Mission and Accomplishments.” Zero demanded. THE END.
