Bug with connection quality

I have a bug with connection quality, the "4 bars" on top right corner. I always see 4 bars, but even in blast network I get thrown back in time from 500 to 1000 ms backwards (for example, in Blast Network I move 2-3 tiles back and get locked up in between 2 bombs by another player, while having "4 bars" of connection).
I believe its a very serious issue - my actual connection quality is really bad, 2 bars at best, in first person shooter multiplayer game I'd get kicked for having "horrible connection" immediately, and in Spiral Knights my connection is shown as "as good as it gets". Thing is: other players have significantly better connection, to them it looks as if I'm standing still for 1 second more than I'm standing still, giving them a huge advantage. I'd get a better connection if there was one, but sadly, my available ISP list is very limited - none offer fiber-optic channel right into SK server's data center.
So I offer a fix for this bug: show actual connection quality instead of theoretical one, at least for Blast Network and Lockdown (PvP games where your connection quality matters a LOT, as no "lag imitation" is used, ones with extremely small latency gain a horrific advantage over those with "typical" connection).
Alternative would require adding "lag imitation", but that would require modifying game engine, something OOO after being purchased by SEGA, is, sadly, no longer capable of (or so I believe).
PS: I may be quitting the game in general, but still enjoy occasional blast network match.
