Fastest way to level items?

Hey Guys,
Just wondering what the fastest way to level items may be? For some reason it takes myself and my brother absurd amounts of time to level items, while we constantly see other players level items from 1 to 10 in like a day. Is there something I'm missing? What type of run would be the most rewarding in terms of heat? I try to go to arenas as much as possible, but they seem to be the rarest type of level out there D^:!

The fastest way is to have all of the rest of your gear be at level 10. That way all of your heat is going into a single item.

Oh, I didn't realize the heat was divided... I thought they all got the same amount (I.E. whatever it was you earned they all got)

for example... leveling 3
for example... leveling 3 weapons a helm a armor and a sheild, all 4 stars, will make it slow. Trust me, I'm struggling xD
just a little more until at least my cyrodriver is done, lessen the weight...

Heat is divided amongst equipment? I always assumed each item got the full amount of heat.
This might explain why it's taken me days to finally get my Silversix to Lv10, which is much longer than anything else has taken me to get to Lv10. It's been because I've been leveling new items along with it? They've been heat-leeching my Silversix? Oh my...

Yes, heat is divided among equipment. You will level one incomplete item faster then you will level 4 or 5 incomplete items. But, You should have an incomplete item with you at all times so you don't waste heat. Also, lower tier items level faster. A tier 0 item will level faster than a tier 2 item.
The fastest way to get heat (at least in the tier 1 floors) is to go all the way in arenas. Also, make sure to clean out danger rooms (the rooms with the red skull in front of them that you have to spend 3 energy to enter.) Additionally, kill everyone in deconstruction zones. Don't just get the treasure chests and leave. That's a waste of energy.
Finally, stay alive. If you die you lose a percentage of the heat you collected from the level, and that's no good.

Fastest...
The fastest way is to run in pick-up-groups and be good enough to be able to survive on 1/4 of your hit points and raise the people that keep dying whenever your hitpoints are half or more. When heat is 'restored', the player that donated health for a revive gets 30% of that heat.

If you get, theoretically, five heat and have five things not at max level then every piece of gear gets one heat. If you get five heat, but only have one piece of gear that is not maxed out then it gets all five heat for itself.

Based on the new "Heat Meter" you can very plainly see that it's being divided.

Going to arenas. ( As what Leviance said. )
Going to danger rooms. ( As what Zanoni said. )
Reviving other players. ( As what Zanoni said. )
Or buy a Heat Amplifier. [ Allows you to obtain 20% more heat of the heat you've obtained. ] ( As what I've said... )

But you have to ask yourself if a Heat Amplifilier is worth the 800CE. You get 20% more heat for but only for 2 days!
I've used one. It came free with the Starter Pack I purchased. The 20% bonus heat is nice, but you burn through a LOT of CE trying to get the most out of that 2 day time limit.

The silly "does heat divide"
The silly "does heat divide" debate can be settled rather easily for anybody that wishes to do it. Craft 2 haze bombs, go to the Clockworks Terminal before Snarby and equip one of the Haze Bombs and the rest should be all lv 10 equipment, do Snarby's dungeon. Leave Clockworks and unequip the Haze Bomb. Get to the same Clockworks Terminal equip the other Haze Bomb and all equipment that needs to level still. Do the same run. The monsters for all 3 floors are set, so you'll get the exact same amount of heat. Compare the 2 bombs.

The monsters are set, but the drops are random.
Anyways, it has been confirmed many times that heat does divide between equips.
Whoever doubts it can make 2 accounts, take the shield & gun off one, have them play the same level in the same party without deaths, and see the difference.
