So I had a thought - would it be at all possible to have any APNGs (or any animated filetype?) we upload to the wiki be frozen on the first frame - only animating if a user hovers their mouse over the image? I've seen this before around the intranetz but IDK how we would (or if we could) go about it on the wiki. Just a thought! Would be nice for new players wanting to get a good look at an item, but otherwise be un-distracted by movement on the page while they look at other things.

Just picture going to, say, the celestial saber page, and then you want a full look at the sword, all you do is hover your mouse over it and THEN it animates.

Work, yes, blahblah, but - if anyone knows how to do this, I want to learn anyway!

We'd have to be careful with upload dimensions, because the way our wiki works, images are always frozen if their frame causes them to shrink at all.

I asked Clotho if this was doable on their talkpage, and they said to bring it here ^,..,^

Obviously this would be a long-term project. Every now and then I'll upload an animation of a thing if the thing's image is really bad, but those take a while to make. So yeah, just a thought.
