Dell Studio 1555 better than HP Pavilion dv6-6c5dx? FPS Technical Issues.
I have two laptops, one of which is the Dell Studio 1555 and the other an HP Pavilion dv6-6c5dx. These are the specs for both:
Dell Studio 1555:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T9600 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 Ghz (Double Core)
Installed Memory (RAM): 4.00GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System (Windows)
Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500/5100 Series
Windows Experience Index Score: 4.9
HP Pavilion dv6-6c5dx:
Processor: AMD A8-3520M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.60 GHZ (Quad Core)
Installed Memory (RAM): 6.00GB
System Type: 64-bit Operating System
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6620g
Windows Experience Index Score: 5.8
All drivers updated and optimized. Both are the same settings.
Now you would think that the HP Pavilion dv6-6c5dx would be the one to run super smooth with a nice 60+ frames per second but unfortunally thats not the case Oddly Enough, the Dell Studio 1555 actually has the better frame rate and the HP Pavilion is my personal computer. You would expect it to have better FPS than the Dell Studio 1555 due to its Quad Processor and its 6.00 GB of RAM. But Alas for some odd and peculiar reason, the Dell Studio 1555 takes the better frame rate. It's odd because the Dell is struggling with its CPU hitting in the high 70% 80% and even some times 90% and 100% but it still does 60 FPS. On the other hand, the HP Pavilion dv6-6c5dx doesn't even break a sweat on 30% to 40% CPU usage (Having the 4 Quads on) with only 30% of RAM. If anyone of you Spiral Knights Peeps can help me with this head scratcher, I would be very greatful.
A few things to note:
1) Both computers do not have there original Hard Drive
2) Both had Windows 7 downloaded from scratch
3) All Drivers are Updated according to "Windows Update" and "Driver Booster 2"
4) Java 8 Update 25 x64bit is installed and optimized to use 3G of RAM (Even though I know Spiral Knights isn't gonna use it >.<)
5) HP Pavilion dv6 is defragged using "Smart Defrag"
6) Both PC's are optimized with "Advanced System Care Ultimate 7"
7) Both have deleted %temp% files.
8) Both are using Spiral Knights through Steam
9) Dell has a bad habit of shutting off out of no where at random times without warning due to what I believe to be the fan malfunctioning.
Thank You and Best of Luck!
