Allow players to buy minerals out of a strata for 2-4x the price. Make the sale price a fixed amount like 5 crowns, and have Autosell randomly distribute a player's minerals into a gate. Now you have both reason to spend crowns (make your fun gates!) and a way to actually influence gate creation that isn't obliterated by Autosell!
