A few Ideas that have likely been suggested before in part, but this is what I believe could improve the experience to get more players into the arena.
And I do know that there are "more players than ever" according to some sources however I guess it depends on Timezones, I don't get matches when I'm online during the week (only when I'm up late weekends and catch players from elsewhere) I think we need to aim to get matches being played at all times
~Bribing king Krogmo.
-Gone are the days were everyone who didn't feel like doing a run would pool in their mist in the hope getting a prize - like more mist for the winning team from a mini mist tank. Spending 25Ce for the chance of maybe 2 extra Coins after the game just isn't worth our Energy now.
*Changes to Bribes - Perhaps pooling in crowns could work, I feel like 1kcr would be ok but it isn't the only solution.
- EVERYONE could be required to put in some small amount of something, be it minerals or crowns or (if you're really that rich) energy, but give people a choice.
~Reviving (exactly how reviving works in BN I am not 100% on as I haven't played it for a very long time, for the purposes of this I'll be using what I know from LD)
-Back in the days of mist (which honestly, beside giving purpose to danger rooms and mecha-knights I don't really miss) It seemed ok to revive once or twice in LD, if you weren't planning a run it started off very reasonable, and obviously increased the more you did it, but getting into the fray again once or twice instantly was nice. Using sparks? This is something I can see only the richest players in SK doing.
*Changes to reviving (once again this is mainly LD I'm talking about but it could apply to BN)
-Once again minerals seem a good option, since you can't sell them to make the levels for the next few days. The minerals that aren't the 3 for food are pretty much useless (besides prestige missions) and it seems like an amount of them that perhaps increases the more you instantly revive could work (5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 100, you work it from here) It means you would likely have to be sparing but is good if you need to get back out there to defend a point ASAP. Again, crowns, mats (like 1* for T1, 3* for T2 sorta thing T3 I'd go with 4*) And god forbid (for those rich ones) Sparks of life
~Trinkets - This would probably be the idea that would be likely to be disagreed with but here me out. (once again I'll be focusing on LD)
-It's no secret players use trinkets in Spiral knights, some to get crazy amounts of health, others to maximize damaging ability. Some people argue it's unfair and something that should be removed. However the playing field just needs a little leveling.
*What I'd like to see
In LD everyone has 1 trinket slot open for them (people who have upgrades can use more if they wish) They wouldn't be able to get free trinkets but would be able to use ones they made/bought.
*even if it was just that people who have slots can use them (but only one - to encourage varied play, are you going health or Dmg? not both)
people who buy the slots will argue against it. I understand that but I feel something needs to be done for the sake of bringing players in and keeping the game balanced
