Can you trade Battle Sprites with other players, or is the Gun Pup Sprite now unavalible for anybody who didn't get the box?

Can you trade Battle Sprites with other players, or is the Gun Pup Sprite now unavalible for anybody who didn't get the box?
As long as they didn't open the Pod, it should still be tradeable. However, most of said pods are already opened, and if they aren't, their owners wont be parting with them without a pretty price.
