note #1: For all of the events, there must be a judge present. The judge will record you partaking in the event and this will give us a way to verify the results of each event. If a judge was not present or for some reason there is no recording of the event, it is as if it never took place.
note #2: For all of the above PVE events, the judge will die upon arrival and will only be there to make sure nothing is being done that is against the rules.

I fail to see how a participating player cannot lay dead and record another team doing their thing.

Oh, no reason. Keep in mind that thread has been heavily edited and graveyarded to hide all the shenanigans that occurred [with you making the new thread, if i recall correctly].

There are rules that the judges need to follow... such as no sparks being used, checking equipment, and recording times. A bias judge would be more likely to mark down other participants so that their own team would be more likely to win based on technicalities. There is a reason that most "game shows" on TV don't allow family members of people that work for the game show to participate either for a conflict of interest.

Then why not make it completely fair and put limits on gear uvs so that everybody is competing with more or less the same gear.

Comments on the event in general:
Well done organizing this! Hopefully more people will join soon, would be good to advertise in Haven(s)

It's fine as it is now, however, I believe it would be more fair if there was a certain set of gear people had to use to balance the playing field. And as for UV'ed gear concerns people have: there really isn't any way to balance the use of UV vs. no UVs because the some of the people who have UV'ed gear may not have non-UV'ed gear of the same type; it would be silly to ask them to create another set just for the purpose of this event.

On the PvP events..
Perhaps I missed something or I didn't read carefully, but was AT/no AT mentioned? If no AT, then you should probably link them to a post that explains how to record.

Can we get a roughly calculated date as to when this will happen? Doesnt have to be the precise date but at least something with a (i dunno) 2-3 day span? The reason i ask is because 1 of the members in my PvE team is gonna go on a holiday starting on may 4th. He wont be able to do play on the 4th and some days after :(

By the way Tempas,Machies once did a fun little blast network tournament, organized by the Taylor-Swifty, with some unconventional rules. Maybe you can use that to create a new category for the blast network. So we came up with some possibilities that might be worth checking.

First set of rules:
1- The one who gets in last place wins.
2- You must not get dishonored from King Krogmo at the end of the match.
--------------Or--------------
1- The one who gets in last place wins.
2- You must place a minimum amount of bombs during the match
(We used the number of bombs needed to place to avoid getting dishonoring so the game itself would judge that part. But I don't know the umber of bombs needed anymore. It's not 14 anymore).
--------------Or--------------
1- The one who gets in last place wins.
2- Each death wish will add up x in your own score. At the end of the match, the number of death wishes would be counted and added up to their respective players.

Taylor's tourny was really fun because players would voluntarily jump in front of their enemy's bombs in order to put them in the lead. so we had to be careful to place bombs when no one was near. Bye bye o/

It was originally going to be next week on saturday but I think it will begin on May 16th as of now. You guys shouldn't worry too much about the starting date. Each individual team will be given time slots to do the events at the time which suits them(could be a week or two after the event starts if that suits your team.

You did read carefully enough. There was no mention of auto target because there is no restrictions regarding it.

@Theirillusion
No trinkets what so ever are allowed for that event. Pets aren't either(neither their perks nor abilities). I'll edit the post when I have time to include this.

Summer Olympics? <-----------READ

I also want to say, Could there also be a summer event that happens July - August? Since well right now some people may not be able to attend these games since, many people are busy during these few months ex: school. :P More people are available during the summer then spring time....just a thought. ^^

Yes. A few of these (Maybe maximum four: one for each season. That being said, two during times when people aren't so busy would be good. This one is Spring.) may have an even bigger effect on the community. People may be motivated to play a lot more to "train" for the upcoming Olympics that aren't so far away as to be annual only. I understand that organizing this event is a hassle, but I'm sure that its benefit to the SK community at large would be worth it. It's a fun way to play with some more competition thrown in.

Prediction: Number of UVs rolled on proto gear just skyrocketted.

For organisational reasons.

Also because I don't want to be creating new brackets for PvP events or have to add additional time slots for PvE events when people didn't bother to sign up when they were given more than three weeks to do so. For people who genuinely couldn't find teammates but were able to find them after the date, all they have to do is say that they want to sign up with an undetermined team. Isn't hard but helps me organize everything more smoothly.

-The max party for a speed run is three because of the need for a judge the whole way through?
-what if the judge's load time is slower than the players and there's a button at the beginning? What if the judge spaces out during the long run time?
-I can record and post video of my play. what if this was the requirement for speed runs instead of a judge?

I don't see why the loading screen would be timed.
Obviously for levels where there is a party button to start, the time will start/resume once the button is pressed by the judge.

So you're talking about for the speed run of an entire gate?
I meant that the judge records the entire run, but cuts out the time that they spent holding up the party, if they happen to. You're right though, stopping the clock during loading screens and getting everyone to line up at the start of every level seems extremely tedious. Loading screens therefore might need to be timed for screwing-around's sake, but how many levels feature a party button right at the start? All I can think of is Deconstruction Zone and Treasure Vault. You'd definitely omit the entirety of subtowns and terminals from the time (stopping the timing once everyone reaches the elevator at end of depth 12, for instance, and restarting once everyone is on the elevator at depth 13, since the completion of these levels has zero reliance on skill. It could give the speedrunners a chance to go to the loo and stock up on snacks and whatnot, I dunno.

See, recording your own video is accurate and all, but that brings up three major issues:
1. Your recording method is different to other teams', possibly leading to discrepancies in the time (intentional or unintentional)
2. To enforce all teams to use recording software would require one member in a team to have a computer that can handle it, or to own the software. Judges however can be just about anyone, they have no connection to the team.
3. You have one less party member, causing monsters to have lower health

Yes the max size of three is because of the judge, the timing taken for each level will be from the moment your team has left the starting area(the judge will bring a gran faust allowing him or her to kill him/herself while being inside the starting area HENCE you shouldn't leave before he/she has done so). You cannot record your own gameplay for this event because of the reasons Hexzyle stated.

I'd like to break and form my own team, for the survival event only if that's permitted? If we can enter the event with a team of five (Corefinder and Itsmeandersonlol included) then that'd be even sweeter, we can all be subs for eachother since there's no garuntee you'll have exactly three people ready when the judge is ready.
I wouldn't mind doing all PvE events, its just the proto challenge is the one I'm the most excited for.

A couple questions though regarding the survival event.
1. You say "No HP trinkets". Does this mean that other trinkets (Modules and Resist Bracelets, but not Solstice or Autumn Gifts) are permitted?
2. You say "No HP perks". Does this mean that Sprites are permitted? Or do they count as "weapons" and thus are restricted by the "proto only" rule?
3. Are UVs allowed? If not, and a player has a UV on proto armor, what will you do about that?
4. You say "travel to the chosen location". How do we travel there? In full proto? Or will the Judge escort us there?
5. When does the timer start? And how do you stop players from just cheesing it by not fighting and hiding in a corner where no monsters are aggroed to them?
6. What difficulty will the level be played on?

The event will be postponed until further notice. The reason is because there is a lack of entries. Sign ups are still open and the more teams sign up the sooner this event will begin.

1)No trinkets at all
2)Count as weapons.
3)They are allowed. The reasoning behind this is because a UV in tier two or three on proto armour/weapon will not make any difference what so ever.
4)The judge will escort you there.
5)The timer starts the moment all of your team enters the room. I'm not sure about the cheesing aspect since it shouldn't be too difficult to do in the royal jelly level however I was thinking of changing this to a more difficult level which does not have such an opportunity. If you have suggestions do let me know!
