oh that, i was thingking most people were using guns as side wep. Anyway thanks for the site, gonna read it up first. The which to use question (Number 1-5) is still open.
EDIT: I have actually read some of this post, and i have read the wiki guide on top of that. Heck i don't even know why i ask the 7th and 8th question, but i never really tries them out in-game though. Just don't wanna go wild in bombs for my alerdy depleted crowns if i can't use them.
>1. Venom veiler VS Shivermist buster
The Veiler, most likely. Poison is a great support item on everything except poison levels..it does wonders for shutting down silkwings and gremlin menders. That it also provides a defensive benefit for you is a nice plus.
>2. The Bomber armours VS other armours VS Chaos set
If you can survive with Chaos, go Chaos. Absolutely do not under any circumstances go Mad Bomber. Volcanic demo is worth considering, at least one piece of it. A level 10 bomb + 1 piece of Volcanic Demo + a Medium CTR UV = Minimum possible charge time on all bombs. Full Chaos lets you skip the UV entirely and get maximum charge speed.
Bombs need 6 points of CTR to reach maximum. The bomb itself provides 2 of those points at level 10. So you need to dig up 4 more. Full Volcanic Demo will do it. Full Chaos will do it. 1 Volcanic + 1 Chaos will do it. 1 Volcanic or Chaos + Medium CTR UV will do it. Medium CTR Trinket + 1 Volcanic or 1 Chaos or Medium CTR UV will do it....whatever.
But charge time is the thing you need to make your top priority. Getting the Medium UV is your best result, because it frees up worn equipment slots. for other stuff...going Chaos Cloak + Black Kat Hood + Medium UV would mean getting max charge time, a Low movespeed increase (super helpful for bombers, since your shield is basically irrelevant) and +10 points of damage.
>3. Chroma set VS Anti-Elemental set
Ignore that stuff.
>4. Nitronome VS DatBarbOfSnarby
If you can only choose one, you want the Dark Briar Barrage. It is THE best bomb against three monster families. Fiends, Beasts, and Gremlins. Even leaving aside that it does improved damage against Beasts and Fiends compared to the Nitronome, there is the simple issue of the secondary effect. Knockdown is way way better than knockback for bombing. Nitronomes have a disconcerting tendency to blow enemies straight into your own face unless you stand basically in one spot and spam it over and over hoping the knockback keeps everything away (it often doesn't). DBB lets you drop and move without finding half the monsters in your face with their windup already completed. This is an especially noticeable phenomenon with Mecha Knights. I stopped using Nitro on those guys entirely, because literally every single time there would be a knight just ready to uncork his attack the instant he got blown right next to me.
DBB is also enormously more party friendly, since you're not throwing stuff around the room, and the graphical effect is considerably less blinding.
For Jello and Constructs, my solution is the Polaris, and the Ash Of Agni/Voltaic Tempest line. DBB is junk against both of them, and you need something to deal with each, because both are extremely common. It's actually hard for me to think of a single level of the clockworks that I've ever been in where I didn't find at least one representative of those families.
>5. Blaster line VS Antiqua line VS Autogun line
Out of those three, I'd probably go with Blaster. For a supplementary sidearm, you want something that can trigger remote switches and deal with gun puppies at a distance, and a Blaster would be best suited for that. But I have a Polaris, and it is...awwwwesoooommme.

Really the only way to do this is practice. Each bomb takes its own techniques.

Well, first off, don't bring the blue screen of death. See above about avoiding the Nitronome. Second: Haze bombs. The ultimate in party support. Combine Venom Veiler with Ash of Agni (on a non-fire level, obviously), and the monsters are gelded and melting and cold meat for everyone else.

Most of this is covered in the Bombing Guide on the wiki. Indeed, that guide exists to answer "I'm new to bombing" questions.
For armor advice you can also consult the bomb section of my detailed armor guide.
For support bombing the obvious choices are Voltaic Tempest, Stagger Storm, Venom Veiler. They don't disrupt your party. For damage bombing focus on Dark Briar Barrage and Dark Retribution.
There is not really any reason ever to get any of the Chroma-line armors. For a bomber sidearm gun I would recommend Valiance, just for the knockback.

Poison is good for denying healers, and weakening enemy attack and defense. Freeze gives your team more opportunities to charge up attacks but can block people in sometimes.
2. The Bomber armours VS other armours VS Chaos set
Volcanic demo is the most popular bomber set (with respectable defense and resist) while Chaos is more powerful and versatile (but at a cost of survivability)
3. Chroma set VS Anti-Elemental set
Most specialist gear is outclassed except in a few Niche situations, these armors should be crafted last (if at all)
4. Nitronome VS DatBarbOfSnarby
Both are useful. Nitronome creates area denial and can move enemies about (good if you can control it). The Dark Briar Barrage has a high knockdown rate and can lock down certain enemies with the flinch, it doesn't push enemies so you have to keep moving to make sure you don't get blocked off.
5. Blaster line VS Antiqua line VS Autogun line
Blasters are good at any job but never the best. Antiguas are good at dealing chip damage to fast enemies. Autoguns have powerful charges that can either push enemies or knock them down while dealing lots of damage.
6. How to bomb itself?
Haze bombs should be placed in a way that covers as much surface area as possible (never on top of each other unless you are in a corridor).
Shard bombs require a quick shield and a keen eye to keep track of enemies that might get blasted in your path, try to stay in a general area and be careful.
Nitronome and Decontructor are fast charging bombs that also allow you good walk speed, enemies always go out from the center of the blast so you can use this to predict where they will be (and put a bomb there)
BAB and Irontech are less mobile blast bombs used to make yourself the aggro point, once you get the monster's attention you can hold them back with continuous blasts or switch to another bomb.
Dark retribution and Dark briar barrage, both of these bombs are meant to be spammed near enemies and can deal massive damage.
Vortex bombs are used to control and collect enemies, your allies can make use of this by unleashing a charge attack into whatever your bomb catches.
Remember it is better to lose a charge than to lose HP, always be ready to shield.
7. How do i be a supporting bomber to the team, and not cause everyone to die after the blue screen of death?
Bombs with little or no knockback are team friendly, if you have to use a bomb with knockback be sure you know how to push and gather enemies with the blast knockback. You should also alert players that you want to use a bomb with knockback and be sure to tell which one it is so that they can make adjustments to their strategy.
Step 1: Grab a Shiv.
Step 2: Get yelled at for using Shiv outside of Vanaduke.
Step 3: Get any of the other mist bombs because they're all fantastic.
Step 4: Get OCH and obtain the bomb with the highest DPS rate in the game, Dark Retribution, and watch things quake in fear.
Step 5: Get Electron Vortex for MASSIVE DAMAGE COMBOS. Win at everything forever.
Blast Bombs are a double-edge sword; don't even think about it unless you know beforehand it's legitimately going to save lifes. Otherwise you might as well just kill your teammates.
Barb bomb is 100% yes. Good damage, good range, good knockdown. Robots and jellies will be an issue.
Shard bombs will annihilate if you can master them, however the invisitinks will drastically lower the dsp you're capable of dishing out. So get 'em if you're up for the challenge.
All mist bombs are great. Poison, stun, and shock are possibly the most helpful. Shiv is just there to make the game easy.
For armor, go Chaos. Get decently healthy shields though, you WILL need as much shield defense since you're going to be at medium-close range (depends on the bomb). Plate shield is a personal fave, and trinkets help bunches.
For guns, probably a Supernova due to normal damage and ridiculous pushback to keep you (and everyone else) safe.
