catalyzers do not work properly in lockdown

I've been testing a neutralizer in lockdown to see if it could work
Using the charge: damages, works as it should
Normal shots: deal 1 damage and tag enemies, as it should (nice for recons)
Firing a normal shot and detonation: I tested this on multiple players, it explodes with knock back as it should, but it either doesnt do any damage or it deals 1 damage, not sure which since people say theyre down 1% total from it
Tl:Dr detonating normal shots deals far less damage than it should, or none at all, I haven't had it tested on me so I don't know which
I have also thought of possible reasons this occurance is caused by:
1. detonated normal shots and the charge damage at the same time, so invinciframes could have glitches and registered neither
2. Detonating normal shots might be counted as an impacting normal shot, dealing 1 damage, invinciframes cancel out the charge
3. There was an error with the mechanic itself on players
So if this can be fixed I would appreciate that, no one uses catalyzers in lockdown so I'm not surprised I haven't noticed something like this earlier

They have the possibility to scare players, in theory you can stack a bunch of tags and people won't clump together for fear of damage, sadly it doesn't do damage in reality,, but if this gets fixed there could be more people using it and more recognition of possible strategies
And right now the charge alone works alright as a damager
Edit:after replying I noticed none of what you said is relevant to the bug, there's no need to post that here, unless you are using that to say it shouldn't be fixed, in which case: the fact something is underused is not a viable basis to restrain from fixing bugs
No one uses Catalyzers anymore, they used to be good guns to mess up players with their slow bullets and Valiance level power.....now? Now they're practically garbage that have even less use in LD.
