Happened to check out the forums today for some reason, and saw the news. From what I gather, former employees (creators) who still love the game are returning to keep it alive.
I am not going to lie, even if they updated the game, added many new weapons and armor, removed AT from lockdown, added more levels, brought back the arcade, and upgraded the servers, I still wouldn't return. I am not mad or anything, but the game just feels like the experience over the 4 years I played was complete. The game grew slowly, then had it's period of exponential growth and enjoyment, and then maturation (S-curve). Going back would be like a 60 year old person trying to relive their college days, it just doesn't happen. I just don't think anything done to it could spark that feeling I had at the beginning of unlimited potential/magic.
I don't want to make assumptions, but if they make new content, it would be great for attracting more people. They'd have to advertise, but I think they can do it. The fact that they are returning as the Grey Havens in spite of all of the hate they have received shows their dedication to the game, and that is good enough. Good luck Grey Havens, and for the people continuing and starting their adventures, have fun. Easily one of the best games I played.

Agreed.
