So this is like the game "It's a box." but instead of one, there is three.
One person creates three boxes by putting a question mark between square brackets (see the subject for example).
The second person says which box he/she opens. He/she shows it by this:........../
........................................................................................................................[?]
The third person says what was inside that box and what happens to it, then he/she creates the new 3 boxes.
Like "It's a box.", the box has infinite room inside it.
Example:
Person 1: [?] [?] [?]
.............../
Person 2: [?] [?] [?]
Person 3: The box had a cookie inside. Person 2 eats it. [?] [?] [?]
etc.
Let's begin.
[?] [?] [?]
The problem with this game is that: logically, the players are only required to come up with what's inside the box after it has already been selected, which makes the existence of three boxes and the selection process that follows completely pointless.
However, I have an idea for a fix.
Instead of the three boxes being completely mysterious, they each have a one-word label on them that hints at their contents.
Example:
[Cookie] [Rock] [Time]
The player then chooses which box to open, comes up with what's inside the box, and decides what happens to them.
To keep things interesting, what happens to the player has to be related to what is labeled on the other two boxes.
After all is said and done, the player creates a new set of boxes, and the cycle repeats.
Example:
I open the box that reads “Cookie” on it, and inside I find a chocolate chip cookie! I try to eat the cookie... but after a painfully loud crunch, I realized too late that the cookie was petrified.
[Liquid] [Paperclip] [Singularity]
While it isn't as fun for the box opener to have control over their own fate, the decision necessary is for the maintenance of game flow. Because in the original game plan, it requires two posts to complete a turn, with one post each turn wasted on choosing which box to open.
By condensing all actions into a single post, the game then works in the proven “back and forth” manner much like the other games on this forum.
Sorry for taking so long getting to back to you. I have been dealing with sleep issues the past few days.
