My game repeatedly has connection problems when starting it up. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling through Steam, but the problem persists. The small window before the game proper starts makes it to "Patching..." before displaying the following:

The application has failed to launch due to the following error:
Conection timed out: connect

My internet connection is fine, as far as I know, and I've tried it a couple times hours apart, but the problem persists. Furthermore, Steam recognizes Spiral Knights as already open, even after I have closed the window, and because Steam can't close SK, it can't close itself, and I must force close Steam by closing one of its processes through Task Manager. Is there any way to fix this problem?
