Welp, It's finally time to delete Silver-Core now.
Please don't necro cringy old posts I made when I was 13.

Theory: The amount of dark shards required to make a cautery sword minus the toast I had for breakfast equals 2, which is the amount of letters in GM, meaning that cautery swords have a secret alchemy path that end with them becoming ban sticks.
Some interesting thoughts here, but not only is it all speculative, it relies on one particularly shaky pillar.
Yes, we have 7 GMs at the moment - but there used to be TWENTY-ONE, 14 of which are retired. If there really was some lore-snippet connecting the GMs characters to the Crimson Order, then there would've been 7 GMs from the start, not 21. As a matter of fact, the only reason that there are 7 GMs instead of 21 like before, is because they retired. (Not to mention, Grey Havens probably had to downsize, since GM is a paid job position) It's pure coincidence.
This 7 GMs + Ozlo + Herex theory of yours is ridiculous for a few reasons.
Crimson Order and Spiral Order are TWO TOTALLY SEPERATE ENTITIES. The Crimson Order is the Gremlin one, and the Spiral Order is the Knight one, and neither of them has ever, ever encountered the other prior to the Skylark crash-landing onto Cradle. Herex cannot possibly be a member of the Spiral Order, the GMs (being Knights and not Gremlins) cannot be members of the Crimson Order and Ozlo cannot possibly be a member of the Crimson Order. You seem to think that...for some reason, the Spiral Order would have the same number of members as the Crimson Order, like they're keeping the teams even for their next company softball game. No.
However, the Morai being Samurai is...a really cool idea to think about, and would make lots of sense in the context of the story. If someone can get more proof/a more coherent theory on that one, I would be over the moon. And, Moirai are from Greek mythology, the same way that all of the GMs (past and present) are also named after entities from Greek mythology. This, is potentially on purpose. But that's not enough to support a theory of anything other than "the original dev team took naming inspiration from greek mythology, just like everyone ever".
Lastly, nothing in your theory suggests that Clotho is destined to betray the Spiral Order.
P.S. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought one of the central conflicts of Spiral Knights as a game is the fact that Skylark and her crew are stranded on Cradle and are unable to contact the high command of the Spiral Order - which would mean that they're all off-planet and several lightyears away, and that none of them can be the GM characters?
I am confused... What are you proving?
