New Player, Bad Start - DLC issues & missing content

So, I am a new player in Spiral Knights.
I have known about Spiral Knights since the 2012 Steam Total War Weekend promotion, when I received DLC's for this game as part of a bundle upon purchase (Shogun Hat, Imperial Tricone, etc)
Now, after all these years I wanted to try it out and make use of the DLC I have for this game, yet I am unable to access the DLC in my library in the game, which is not only a violation of Steam's DLC policies, but also an infringement of the Canadian Consumer Protection Act.

This has given me a pretty bad impression of the game.
I am somehow barred from accessing DLC packs I should be able to access (purchased, with receipt), and am getting stonewalled, regardless of the fact I have this content redeemed and installed in my game library.
It has been listed under purchased DLC for this game for all these years, thus I still "own" these services/goods. (If I didn't own them, or I am unable to use them, they should not be listed as purchased goods, and should have been removed from my steam library as they are "no longer available").
Yet when I want to make use of it, I am suddenly barred from using it.
Here is the conundrum I'm facing.

This is my first impression of this game as a new player trying to enjoy, yet I cannot enjoy as I have to fight for my right to access the game and it's additional content that I should legally be able to enjoy.

You can see these items in your Steam inventory? But you cannot see them in your Arsenal in Spiral Knights?

I don't use Steam myself, so I don't know the answer. Maybe someone will chime in here with useful information. However, instead of waiting for that, I recommend that you move this thread to Technical Issues. (You can move threads by editing the original post and choosing a new forum.) Good luck.

I'm no professional

I don't know much about steam but I do use it to run Spiral Knights. Recently I am having trouble launching the game but thats a separate issue.

The DLC's listed in steam do seem a little funky besides the Operation Crimson Hammer. Most don't list prices and seem to be just overall wonky. Sorry I can't be much help. You can try to look through the inventory to see if the items are there(though personally my inventory doesn't show any pictures) if you know the name of the items.

Happy to see that people are getting back into Spiral Knights! sorry you are having a poor experience so far.

Total Lack of Support

I opened a ticket about this, and it was "escalated to lead" to resolve it, but that was over a week ago.
It's been an entire week since I opened my ticket and I haven't heard anything whatsoever.

I also sent customer support an email with my issue and haven't heard back either, and that was over 3 weeks ago.

Is customer support for this game dead?

reasonable question

Your story is disappointing. If you've spent money, then you deserve better support.

But, for what it's worth, customer support for this game is not dead. I have seen support happen, and recently. I don't know why it's not happening for you. Best wishes.

What's your steam name? I've

First off, welcome, and I'm sorry you're having a tough time.

Just for reference, the DLC's in question just contain some cosmetic items. So while I completely understand how frustrating it can be to not have access to something you rightfully own, please understand that it's a minor part of the game, and there is an awful lot of the game to explore/enjoy.

What's your steam name? I've had a lot of experience dealing with Spiral Knights DLC's with Steam.

So basically (barring Operation Crimson Hammer, which acts as a traditional DLC), the DLCs are in the form of items. When you acquire the item, it's just something in your steam inventory (Note, Not SK inventory, but the general steam one). If you click it, you have the option to 'unpack' or 'open' it, or something like that. Once you do, the item will be added to your SK account. When you log into SK, you will have a mail waiting with the items. Note, you can only get the item on ONE knight, once.

Please note, that due to the weirdness of the SK DLC system, you can only claim (open the item from your inventory) any item once. So even if you have 15x Gold Wolf Armor DLC's in your steam inventory (as I once did)... You can only claim one of them.

So yeah, if you add me on steam (https://steamcommunity.com/id/raf42), I'll see what I can do.

Hope everything works out!

(Also just a tip, threatening legal action right off the bat over a cosmetic item isn't the best way to go about it. You'll just piss off the devs, especially since they weren't the ones who were running the game when the DLC was available).
