-- HEAVY SPOILER ALERT ---
You have been warned!
So you've gone through a lot in Spiral Knights. You beat Dreams and Nightmares, farmed Vana 200+ times, and drained your credit card too many times to count. You're now a 10-3 vanguard. And what does Spiral Knights tell you?
I'll round everyone up and send you a mission to accept when you're ready.
We've been ready for a year, Kora. Send us a new mission and new ranks!
I am proposing a new rank idea, as well as all the missions to go with that rank. This rank would be available after reaching 10-3 vanguard.
Rank: Guardian
11-1 Mission 1: The Way of the Guardians
A mysterious gremlin has come to haven. He has memorized a Kat book, and is willing to share its secrets... for a price.
In this talk mission, you would talk with a gremlin, and he would teach you how to be a guardian. You have to promise to get him "his final grace", however (which is the Swarm Crystal, mentioned more later) to get him to talk.
11-1 Mission 2: The Return
Faced with the new threat of the Swarm, you must return to the Rescue Camp and escort Recruits back to Haven. Go quickly!
In this mission, you would return to the rescue camp to get recruits. Then, you would go to depth 1, but the Swarm plunges your elevator down to the core, and you must escort the recruits through the grasp of the swarm back to Haven, while finding Rulen in the core.
11-1 Mission 3: The Swarm Crystal
More information about a mysterious crystal has been recovered from a Kat library. Pay a visit to Moorcroft to learn about this crystal, and how it might turn the tide.
In this talk mission, you would talk with a Kat and learn about the Swarm Crystal, a crystal said to "Shine so brightly, it obliterates darkness everywhere." It also appears to be the "Final Grace" the gremlin talked about.
11-1 Mission 4: The Final Grace
Return to the core with Rulen and Rhendon to find the Swarm Crystal.
In this mission, you would go to the Core once again, fighting off Swarm monsters and getting to the heart of the Core (the core of the core, if you will) to get the Swarm Crystal. It turns out it was Parma's parting gift to Euclid, and he is at the front lines fighting the Swarm. He gives you the gem, but is consumed by the Swarm in the process, and you have to fight him using the crystal to finish the mission.
11-1 Mission 5: The Last Stand
Haven is under attack. This could be the end...
In this mission, you are in the Haven town square, with Euclid, Rulen, Feron, Kora, Rhendon, and Desna. You use the Swarm Crystal to blast back waves of Swarm monsters "swarm"ing Haven. At the end, the Swarm Crystal explodes, and the Sleeper reveals themself in their full form. The Sleeper defeats all the monsters left and gives you a single crystal: the Core Power. This power repairs the Skylark and gives you the power you need to go back to Isora triumphant.
11-2 Mission 1: The End, pt 1.
Having returned to Isora, collect your rewards and celebrate your success.
Having returned to Isora, Parma, Euclid, Rulen, Feron, Rhendon, Desna, and you get a ceremonial procession down the halls of the king of Isora. You are treated as heroes, and everything ends happily ever after.
And then Herex shows up.
11-2 Mission 2: The End, pt 2.
Herex has come back, and is causing destruction. Destroy him and the Swarm using the Core Power, before Isora is lost forever!
In this mission, you run back to the Skylark and take the Core Power to destroy the swarm. You succeed after running through an elaborate series of traps to fight Herex again. The fight is similar to the fight at the end of the 10-2 mission Shadowplay, except now Herex has the swarm on his side and summons Swarm monsters.
11-2 Mission 3: The End, pt 3.
All's well that ends well ... right?
In this mission, a new planet with another potential source of energy is found, as the Core Power was not enough. You get selected as the new Guardian of the Alpha Squad, and a whole new adventure begins...
