If you are alone the gremlins with mortars will be super annoying, either bring mist bomb(shiv) or save barriers for them.
Operation Crimson Hammer gear recommendations?
@Fangel
Yes. One thing to ask, which weapons' names are mentioned, specifically, Fangel? Please provide a list of what to bring, for each tier?
@Tadashi-Blitz
Which mist bomb's name is it to be precise?
My current loadout is:
Shield:
- Grey Owlite Shield
Armor:
- Chaos Cowl
- Chaos Cloak
If you need more fire resistance, you could substitute Vog, Volcanic Plate, Sacred Firefly Sentinel, etc. Chaos is good because it gives you universal damage and CTR bonuses.
Weapons:
- Acheron
- Grim Repeater [see Note 1]
- Combuster [see Note 2]
- Shivermist Buster [see Note 3]
Note 1: You could substitute Blitz Needle for the Grim Repeater if needed. Either one is excellent for the battle pods at the boss.
Note 2: I don't use the Combuster very much tbh, you could probably substitute something else if you want.
Note 3: Shivermist Buster is good for the super annoying Gremlin Mortafires and Ghostmane Stalkers.
Trinkets:
- Penta-Heart Pendant
- Elite Trueshot Module (for boss damage)
Pet:
- Maskeraith (Deadly Shadow Cloak for double charge attack)
- Healthy Boost VI
There's not really a good loadout for this aside from for the boss, which benefits from having an autogun that is preferably grim repeater. For everything else, having shadow and occasionally elemental for construct is all there is to it.
The big counter to the level is the barrier pickup, because that destroys the mortafire and saves you the most time. Unfortunately you cannot equip this, and they are entirely RNG dependent.
Whatever you bring to deconstruction zones, especially fire themed ones, should be brought here. Mist bombs are a plus against certain gremlins, but not mandatory.
