The pads would be a tile or entity that, when stepped on, would either make the knight dash (without consuming their dash) in the direction they're pointing, or would simply give the knight and potentially enemies a large amount of knockback in that direction.

This would be good design for 2 reasons-

1) SK has a lot of hallways that require a massive amount of running to get through. This is needed for SK since positioning arenas for spawning algorithms is very important, but could be helped out a ton via the boost pads. Instead of the knight taking 20 years to backtrack, there would be tiles at the sides of the hallways that would send the knight instantly where they want to go, and make the game much slicker.

2.) New arenas and areas could be designed quite simply with these tiles. The knight wouldn't be able to walk backwards through them, and traps could be positioned accordingly to either catch the knight if they're up or not. Enemies could also make use of these tiles if they utilized knockback, which would make for some interesting areas and really mix things up so that SK doesn't feel as stale. Lockdown maps could also use them to empower guardian and recon.

Yeah, you've made this before. Any particular reason why you graveyarded that one?

To erase the bad comments. I want the first few comments to be productive and nice as opposed to talking about how this kills mercurial demo suit's tiny speed boost in hallways. The game is too slow even with +16% speed increased and I don't want to have a drawn out conversation with some kid that wants to go jogging instead of kill stuff and god help the suggestion if the devs or whoever read it and scroll down and are like "hmm not all the players want this".
