Weapon Customization, Creating New Weapons without actually creating them.

This is a very outlandish idea, and it's probably a bad one to be honest. Just throwing it out there.

Proposal

  • All current recipes are removed and replaced with general ones
  • -Example: All the branches of brandish recipes are removed and instead we will have, 2* Brandish recipe, 3* Burst Brandish recipe, 4* Brander recipe, 5* Brand Edge Recipe.

  • In order to get different variants of the same weapon, you'll instead use various combination of materials.
  • -Example: All 2* recipes will have a static recipe, but at 3*, brandish splits into different pathways. You'll acquire different variants by combining different materials in your recipe.

  • 3* will have 3-4 slots and then an orb.
  • 4* will have 4-5 slots and then an orb.
  • 5* will have 5-6 slots and then an orb.
  • If I say, wanted to make a "Fireburst Brandish." I would have to first buy the burst brandish recipe, and then mix some elemetal materials along with a firse element material to get it. There'll be unique combinations to get special weapons, like the Cautery sword. Which will involve mixing Slime Materials and Metallic Materials. As for the skins of all these items. You can simply develop a system that determines the hue and color of your weapon depending on the materials you use.

    Customization Slots and their effects

  • Damage Type and Damage Amount
  • -Damage Amount determined by star level, each weapon already has a table of damage values.
-Damage Type determined by solid materials.
    -Dual Damage Types are Possible.
-Normal Damage will have less damage than specialized damage types.
-Choosing to get a status decreases your damage.
-If you choose to not have a status, you'll receive extra damage points.

  • Status
  • -Every status in the game is available to you. Mix and match different weapons and see what you can create!
-Fire, Freeze, Poison, Curse, Sleep, Shock.
-Stun can be achieved by going for all damage and using no elemental materials.
-Level of status is determined by the amount of UNIQUE status materials.(You can't use 10 Flame Souls to get Strong Fire Status.)

    Result

  • Pros:
  • -A weapon that may potentially be unique to you with how many combinations there are.
-Players will have fun experimenting with different combinations, finding bad weapons and good ones alike.
-There is a whopping 32 combinations for each weapon in the game.

  • Cons:
  • -Virtually impossible to craft every weapon in the game.
-Certain combinations will be straight up overpowered, and may need specific nerfs.
-You cannot create a weapon with more than one status.

    Conclusion

-Would be interesting to see in SK, but I can see that implementing something like this would take a lot of tedious work.
