Connectivity Issues / Disconnecting / Reconnecting Issues

Here's the thing.. I know the game is old and outdated and there hasn't been a real update in a long, long time. However, I do know that the 'connectivity' isn't as bad as it is now. So why am I getting disconnected again and again and then unable to reconnect to the game when I clearly have the internet? This isn't a new issue and there hasn't been a proper solution either.

It isn't my internet, it isn't the Steam Overlay. It is not Firewall. It is definitely something else. I do not know how else to say this. This issue has been here for a long time and the game has never managed to find a proper fix to this years ago. I am just posting here just incase there IS a solution to this issue.

If you have a a newer suggestion. please do suggest it to me.
