I told my fur baby that socialism is a grand narrative. Contrasting it to capitalism it's like comparing apples to oranges. Socialism didn't happen and likely won't in the sense that the gulf war is a social construct.

Rather than a better system that improves upon capitalism we'll see something else that serves the same class of people that capitalism serves, with an elite and a not so elite.
