Does the probability of dropping 5-star materials increases the deeper we go?

approximately yes

When you are in the shallow (stratum-1) parts of the dungeon, it's very unlikely that you will find any 5-star material. By the time you get to stratum-6 adventuring, you will find one or two or five 5-star materials. So the answer is yes ---- non-linearly.

maybe yes

If I had to guess, I would guess yes --- the frequency of 5-star material drops does increase with depth in Tier 3.

But I don't have data to back that up. You might search the web for Skepticraven's giant treasure box data set. It might have the data that you need.

Sorry, I didn't log star count for materials... only fire crystals.
Just like Bopp, I don't have any hard data.

That being said, my guesses would be that they appear at slightly higher frequency for 24-28 compared to 18-23. I don't think within those blocks they have a different drop rate, but that's just a guess.
