I'm absolutely sure I've lost a couple of months this year, because it doesn't seem right that it is October already! And of course, October means pumpkin carving time! Social distancing remains very important as we head towards 2022, so I'm in dire need of some terrifying(ly good) pumpkin ideas to scare folks and stop them taking my candy! You know the drill! Time to get carvin'!

Winner(s) will have their pick from a list of prizes. All players that enter will also get an entry prize of purple fireworks and a Spark of Life (we allow multiple entries per player, but only one reward will be granted).

Your task is to carve a Spiral Knights themed pumpkin and enter it. The rules are the same as previous years, but please do re-read them as following them is important!

Deadline: October 31 11:59 PM game time Don't leave those entries till the last second to enter because if you miss the cut off, you won't win even if your design is most glorious!

Prizes: We may have multiple winners; the number will be determined by number of entries. Any overall winner will each be able to pick one prize from the following list:

• Golden Leafy Aura
• Baleful Aura
• Cursed Tome Stand (furniture)
• Zombie Bellhop (furniture)
• Gatecrasher Helm

The Rules:

1. Obtain a real pumpkin. If pumpkins are not available where you live, you can try any type of gourd, squash, etc. If you aren't in the right area of the world for pumpkins, use a watermelon!
2. Create a Spiral Knights design for your pumpkin. This can be anything relating to Spiral Knights--a monster, an NPC, your knight, your favourite GM, or even an item of SK furniture you particularly like
3. Carve the design onto your pumpkin.
4. Create a card (or slip of paper) that includes your knight name and the year.
5. Take at least two "creation" pictures while you are carving your pumpkin, to prove it's your own work. Include a card with your knight's name and the year in EACH photo (no photoshopping).
6. Take at least one lit and one unlit photo of your pumpkin, again including your knight's name on a card to show it's your own handiwork.
7. Host your images on Imgur. You don't need to make an account--just upload them
8. Submit your entry with a minimum of four photos per entry (two creation, one lit, and one unlit) in the entry thread in the Treasure Vault along with your knight's name and your prize preference.
9. Double check your entry to make sure you have four working links to each entry, and that it follows the template below.
10. Winning entries may be posted on social media. If you'd like to have us @ you in the post, please include your Twitter name in your entry.

Judging Criteria:

Judging will be based upon the creativity and cleverness of design, the quality and detail of carving, and the overall effect of the lit pumpkin. Remember, the LIT pumpkin is the photo being used for judging. Take care with regard to shadows, flash, focus, and detail.

Extra Stuff:

You can enter more than once, but only one entry per person can be awarded a prize.
