To celebrate TGC (The Goose Caboose) reaching 100 members I will be hosting another event called Chess Hide and Seek (credit to Death-Awaits-You for giving me the idea), here's how it will work.

LOCATION: The Goose Caboose Guild Hall
TIME: Tuesday, June 18th at 5PM EST (30 hours and 8 minutes after this post).

I will scatter a chess board's worth of chess pieces (16 pawns, 4 rooks, 4 knights, 4 bishops, 2 queens, 2 kings) across The Goose Caboose guild hall, and the goal is to try to find as many of them as possible and bring them back to the chess board (you do not have to put the pieces back in their original spots on the board). For each chess piece you bring back to the board you will be awarded a certain amount of points based on the type of piece that you found. Here's what each piece is worth in points:

Kings - 5 points each
Queens - 4 points each
Knights - 2 points each
Bishops - 2 points each
Rooks - 2 points each
Pawns - 1 point each

There will be 3 rounds, meaning 3 instances of pieces hidden across the guild hall, and each round ends once all pieces have been found. At the end of the 3 rounds, your points will be added up to determine your final score, and the person with the highest score at the end of the 3 rounds will be declared as the winner. Prizes will be distributed to the top 4 participants of the event. These are what the prizes will be:

1st place - spiral soaker ctr med (worth about 18-22ke)
2nd place - 10ke
3rd place - 5ke
4th place - 3ke

This event does not require any pre-registration, meaning anyone who wants to participate can simply just show up once the event starts, and your name will be added to the roster. However, you must be here before the first round begins in order to participate. You cannot join after the first round begins. Also, this goes without saying but anyone who intentionally tries to disrupt the event will be immediately disqualified.
