Sometimes when players encounter a map they don't want and there is one they like better, they can wait for it to change.
Now my suggestion is to have a little energy payment thing at the end elevator (except if the next map is "?" and Terminals of course (well it could be there but disabled, if that's more easy)) that lets the player spend like 3 E to spin to the next map instead of waiting for the clockworks to rotate it in. Basically a clockwork boost.
Like if next is Deconstruction Zone, but they want a danger room or a casino, they could wait a varying time if there is a Clockwork Tunnels in the next depth, but with my suggestion they could instead pay Energy to spin to Clockwork Tunnels instantly.
Additionally, there could be a timer countdown telling the player how many seconds until it would spin by itself. So they could wait if it's only a few seconds, but also know its worth spending to spin if its really high.
There should probably some semaphore like with the danger room doors, so players can't accidentally do it in parallel.
Also, there should be a short cooldown, so they don't accidentally boost past the map they want and players who don't want to spin further can quickly go solo before a troll on their party spends energy to spin past the map they want, but that's not important. I think it's rare trolls want to waste their energy.
I think that would increase player satisfaction a lot.
