Hello, returning player here. Been a good while since I last touched the game, some 5 or 6 years, give or take, but the recent upsurge of updates have relit the old spark of even older days back when Sega was still in charge, Mist Energy was a thing and Forging didn't even exist. And I guess there were no pets back then either. But I digress.

The problem appears to be one with connection.
I run the game through steam and connect with my steam account. Initially the game manages to get me into my account, even lets me pick one of my old characters and even puts me in the pre-game menu. But no news manage to load up, which I guess is already a sign. It does let me access my inventory though, so I guess it manages to grab -something-. I haven't tried much fiddling so far, but if I try to go to Haven, then the game just goes to a black screen for a few second before booting me back to the login screen, saying that my account has been logged out. Any further attempts to relog don't go past the title screen and the same message. Restarting the game might send me to character selection one or two more times, but repeated attempts seem to just eventually end up at the login screen all the same.
Of course, it was a fresh installation of the game as well.

The thing is, the problem is most likely on the side of my connection. I reside in a country that for the time being shall not be specifically named, but which may or may not be running some interference with internet traffic. There have been means of going around the issue, but in my case I might need a list of domains that the game runs off of, so I can feed it to the program to patch my connection through.
Or heck, there might be some other solution to this, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's my government's meddling.
Or maybe I'm just dumb and it's actually a port forwarding issue all along.

The fact that I'm posting this around the time of a server maintenance is pure coincidence, it was like this a day or two ago as well.
